What will you be doing as Research Associate?
- Conducting routine analysis, e.g. in the field of biological activities, coagulation assays (e.g. FVIII:C, FIXa, thrombin generation assay), ELISA and other quantitative immunoassays, SDS-PAGE, Western blot (various target proteins), isoelectric focusing;
- Carrying out and evaluating development experiments as part of the establishment of new analytical measurement methods under the supervision of experienced scientists;
- Independent preparation of electronic laboratory reports and maintenance of electronic data management systems;
- Support in the implementation of methods on automated high-throughput platforms (TECAN robotics platform);
- Assistance with general laboratory organization, e.g. ordering materials and taking responsibility for equipment maintenance;
- You will familiarize yourself with an extensive range of analytical equipment, e.g. Siemens BCS system, Ceveron T100, MSD Sector S600, Octet HTX, Maurice icIEF, GyroLabs Xplore, Absorbance/Fluorescence/Luminescence plate readers.
Who are you?

- You have experience in analytical method development in the field of advanced analysis of protein-based biomolecules (e.g. activity of coagulation factors, characterization of immunoglobulins like e.g. binding kinetics) and a general understanding of process and product impurities (e.g. HCP, HMWS, PTM variants);
- Hands-on experience with basic analytical methods such as protein quantification (BCA, Lowry), SDS-PAGE, Western Blot and immunoassays (e.g. ELISA) or other multi-well-based methods is essential for the position;
- You understand underlying method principles and are confident to apply that knowledge for troubleshooting and assay improvement;
- Experience in handling automated high-throughput platforms is a plus;
