The Senior Director, Medical Affairs for Radiometer is responsible and provides medical and scientific leadership in positioning Radiometer portfolio and pipeline within Acute Care Diagnostics. The position requires coordination and direct reporting of the medical affairs team, ensures close coordination and working collaboration with marketing and sales organization, extends support to clinical affairs and contributes to strategy development under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

The position will be located either in the Copenhagen headquarters of Radiometer or remotely in Spain or France.

You will be a part of the Clinical & Medical Affairs department that consists of over 50 colleagues seated globally in Denmark, other European countries, India, and the US. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Ensure & Provide Medical Knowledge and Evidence across the business
  • Establish and oversee a medical information structure and function.
  • Lead a team of subject matter specialists and ensure support across the business.
  • Establish a Field Medical Affair team and ensure support to regional sales and marketing teams.
  • Ensure a mid- and long-term strategy and plan for an Investigator Initiated Study program.
  • The measurements of success within this role include, but is not limited to the following metrics:
  • Evidence generation volume and quality.
  • Investigator Initiated Study initiation and completion.
  • KEE engagement metrics (volume; quality; outputs).
  • Establishment and performance of field medical force.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Life Science or Medical related degree (Master level and above);
  • Minimum of 10 years medical/IVD industry experience with:
    • Familiarity with regulations and requirements in IVD and Medical Devices;
    • Familiarity with IVD clinical use and impact with demonstrated experience across development, clinical studies and medical affairs function;
    • Knowledge of Laboratory workflow;
    • Experience, presenting technical information to audiences with various degrees of scientific and clinical experience.
  • Ability to travel: Travel is expected to be 45% of the time, mainly to Denmark, USA, across Europe (minimum 10 days a month at Radiometer HQ, Copenhagen).
