Position Summary
The Director, Global Marketing – Pompe will play a key leadership role in the global launch and future marketing activities for Pombliti+Opfolda, a critical asset in Amicus' rare disease portfolio.
Reporting to the Executive Director and Global Product Lead, this role will be a key strategic partner in shaping global brand strategy with a core focus on defining the global marketing strategy, driving its execution across global markets, and overseeing the delivery of high-impact, customer and patient-centric initiatives to deliver brand growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
Leads development and execution of global marketing plan:
- As part of annual global cross functional brand planning process this role will drive the development and execution of the global marketing plan, focusing on a blend of traditional and innovative approaches that maximize brand impact globally.
- Lead the development of strategically relevant, impactful marketing initiatives (including branded and unbranded materials, training programs, and digital content) that resonate with both healthcare professionals and patients and delivers behaviour change.
- Define SMART objectives and KPIs, establish a clear measurement framework and provide regular updates on brand performance, plan progress and suggested strategic adjustments for increased impact.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities and lead market research activities that deliver critical insights on stakeholder beliefs, behaviours and needs to adapt strategies and shape a multichannel marketing strategy that aligns with key market insights and opportunities.
- Shape the global congress strategy ensuring alignment with broader brand goals. Oversee the development of congress materials.
Drive innovation in branding:
- Lead efforts to integrate emerging technologies into the global marketing strategy, ensuring robust and innovative brand experiences that adheres to our core values and drives optimal brand performance.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, trends, and regulatory environments to inform decision-making.
Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management:
- Drive alignment and foster close collaboration with key global and regional colleagues to help inform and implement strategic marketing initiatives. Lead matrix teams to operationalize global strategies at a local level.
- Act as a senior strategic marketing partner with key executives, contributing to global business strategy discussions and initiatives to deliver brand performance.
- Manage external partnerships with key opinion leaders and other stakeholders to drive company and brand advocacy and awareness.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to agency partners, ensuring the development of a cohesive brand platform and all marketing materials that resonate across identified key stakeholders.
Compliance and governance:
- Ensure all marketing activities align with Amicus’ internal policies and global regulatory, legal and compliance standards.
- Lead the implementation of systems and processes to meet these requirements effectively working within the defined governance frameworks.
- Lead the management of key marketing assets through the global Copy Review Board (CRB).
Requirements
Educational Requirements:
Professional Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years of product marketing and/or commercial leadership in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with minimum of 5 years in global and/or senior regional roles.
- Significant experience in rare diseases and specialty therapeutics.
- Proven track record of successfully leading global product launches.
- Expertise in digital marketing and multichannel strategies highly desirable.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and global partners.

- Demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials is required.
