The Medical Manager, CNS Sweden is a key position within the Novocure organization in Sweden. The position will expand the understanding of all scientific elements of TTFields in order to allow stakeholders in the healthcare sector to embrace TTFields as standard of care for the treatment of Glioblastoma in Sweden and a new paradigm in cancer therapy.

This position is both strategic and hands-on: they develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders in Sweden and is responsible for internal and external medical education (in alignment with the regional and global strategy), as well as any kind of medical questions in the field.

The medical education program will include (but not be limited to) Novocure's activities at and around scientific congresses (content of symposia, etc.), designing and administrating future post-marketing research activities (registries, Investigator-initiated trials etc.) as well as multiple other external and internal medical education tasks (certification of new centers, speaking assignments, training tasks, etc.).

Your responsibilities:

  • Increases therapy awareness amongst physicians, and works with them towards establishing the value proposition of TTFields therapy towards all stakeholders;
  • Develops strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in Sweden;
  • Develops, owns and implements the medical strategy for Sweden in alignment with the global medical strategy to support understanding, adoption and effective implementation in clinical practice of TTFields treatment by healthcare providers;
  • Owns medical content at congresses in Sweden, including satellite symposia and other continuous medical education activity;
  • Supports investigator initiated trial process and works closely with the global team to ensure consistency;
  • Works closely with the team members of the NCEE medical affairs team to maximize synergies;
  • Ensure activities comply with the applicable Novocure Quality System requirements;
  • Works effectively with the Swedish Leadership Team on advancing the therapy;
  • Partners with other Novocure functions and organizations in Europe and worldwide.

Your profile:

  • MD/PHD or similar degree is a must. Specialization in radiation oncology, medical oncology, neurooncology or neurosurgery is a strong plus;
  • Solid knowledge of either medical device industry or pharmaceutical industry is required;
  • 2+ years experience in a field based position;
  • English is a must, any other language is a plus;
  • Must have excellent oral and written skills, strong presentation skills;
  • Must demonstrate fluency in articulating scientific concepts and data;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in complex international organizations;
  • Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision;
  • Must work well in large and small teams, ability to work remotely;
  • Ability to travel within Sweden;
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.
