For the expansion of our Flowcytometry Expert Team, argenx is looking for a Supportive Scientist who oversees the activities related to flowcytometry, the organization of the flowcytometry CORE and implements developing state-of-the-art technologies.
This position will be the primary scientific contact and will provide flowcytometry expertise and guidance within the different projects (Discovery, PPD, Clinical) at argenx.
The scientist will participate in various trainings and conferences and will manage vendor collaborations.
The job is based in our facility in Zwijnaarde, Belgium.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
The Scientist Flowcytometry will have the following key responsibilities:
- Key contact within argenx with regards to flow cytometry related activities
- Provides and organizes technical guidance and trainings for all the research teams
- Provides advise to argenx researchers in complex flow cytometry panel design and trains people in analysis of data (FlowJo software)
- Manages the technical maintenances and troubleshooting on the FACS devices
- Keep up to date with newly developing technologies in the flowcytometry field and organize the implementation of such innovative technologies
- Follows external trainings and conferences related to flowcytometry devices used at argenx
- Inventory management flowcytometry reagents
- Manage the collaborations with external flowcytometry COREs
- Oversees flowcytometry assay template designs and SOP writing
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Scientific degree, Master or PhD in the field of immunology
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
