Scientist 2 - Cell Line Development & Upstream Process

The Scientist will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing cell culture processes for biologics production. This position involves working on upstream processes, including cell line development, cell culture, and bioreactor operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance process efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness

Role responsibilities

Executes research activities as applicable aligned with Research & Development pipeline - Design, execute and analyse experimental work related to cell line development;
Design, execute and analyse experimental work related to cell culture and fermentation process development, including developing robust inoculum expansion and fermentation processes suitable for clinical drug substance manufacture;
Collaborate with other internal/ external parties to support Ipsen’s biologic pipeline;
Support manufacture of clinical drug substances;
Support the implementation of new bioprocess technologies and support implementation of new bioprocess facilities/laboratories;
Works within GMP, Regulatory and EHS requirements.

Requirements

Degree, Masters or PhD in appropriate scientific discipline or relevant experience;
Some proven work experience within cell line development or upstream process development team;
Fluent English including reading, written and spoken.
