Take advantage of your experience, build up and lead our new laboratory for Peptide Bioanalysis, and actively shape a sustainable Research project pipeline to assure long-term profitability of a globally leading and family-owned pharmaceutical company.

As drug discovery expert, you combine an innovative, proactive mind-set with scientific expertise in bioanalysis. In addition, you are willing to drive science and deliver high quality, first-in-class drug candidates within competitive timelines.

As Principal Scientist within Discovery Research Germany in Biberach, you are part of a highly innovative and leading Bioanalysis Group contributing to the discovery of breakthrough therapies that ultimately improves the quality of human life.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As Principal Scientist you are responsible for the quantification of peptide therapeutics and small molecules from in vitro and in vivo studies via LC-MS;
  • In your new role, you design experiments for preclinical in vitro and in vivo studies, interpret, track and present results to project teams;
  • In research teams and international research collaborations, you are the representative expert for pharmacokinetics;
  • You actively contribute in interdisciplinary research teams to the identification of novel therapeutic concepts, optimization of drugs and characterization of clinical development candidates;
  • You advance the scientific and technological development and guide co-workers to ensure high-level education and personal development of the highly innovative team. 

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline;
  • Strong technical and scientific expertise in the quantification of therapeutic peptides and/or small molecules in samples from ADME and pre-clinical studies by means of LC-MS including corresponding sample preparation techniques;
  • Experience as DMPK expert for research projects is a plus;
  • Ability to drive the development of new, innovative bioanalytical approaches in a highly dynamic environment;
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced team in a professional and pleasant manner;
  • Excellent communication skills (English) and teamwork capabilities.
