Regional Sales Manager – Life Sciences (France and Benelux)

For the Life Sciences division, offering dedicated programs for effective cleaning and disinfection to the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Industry, we are hiring a Regional Sales Manager France/Benelux, who will be responsible for the growth and achievement of division objectives through the development and effective direction of a Field Sales Team based in France, Belgium and The Netherlands. The RSM will be accountable for ensuring the team delivers their sales and margin targets in one of the most important areas for Pharma and Cosmetic manufacturing in Europe.

This position involves hiring, training, developing and leading a competent and highly motivated remote sales and service organization to satisfy customer needs while achieving the budgeted sales and profit objectives.

This position requires a candidate with scientific/ technical educational background, preferred pharmaceutical industry experience as well as a proven track record in field sales and sales management, organizational ability, communication skills and recognized strong leadership skills to effectively coach the team to achieve full potential and deliver growth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, support and train the Field Sales Team in sales skills, technical knowledge and critical thinking skills with direct support from the EU Training Manager and the Global Technical team;
  • Participate with the EU Field Sales Director in the development of annual plans for the respective region to include sales, operating expenses and capital budgets;
  • Assist with the integration and execution of partnerships and acquisitions;
  • Establish and direct implementation of service strategy with key regional and global corporate accounts, including responsibility for the major distribution partners in the region;
  • Coach Lead Account Managers and Sales Managers on good management practices and how to train and coach Account managers in effective sales and management skills;
  • Support the team with terms negotiation, customer claims, equipment requests and pricing at key customers;
  • Supervise the implementation and use of territory sales plans;
  • Maintain and supervise safety standards, requirements, and metrics at all levels;
  • Represent the LS Division at local management committees and townhalls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology or another related field;
  • 7-10 years of progressively increasing managerial responsibility in a sales and/or service organization (B2B);
  • Strong preference to prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry (alternatively healthcare/medical devices/personal care);
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and working with remote teams;
  • Proven success in delivering results in a fast pace environment;
  • Leadership Skills;
  • Communication Skills;
  • Fluent in English and French, other languages are a plus.
