About the Opportunity

As Marketing Head, your main responsibilities will include leading the Primary Care BeNeLux Marketing team with the purpose of establishing a clear segmentation of the Primary Care portfolio, identifying the opportunities to drive value in Grow segment, where to invest and to build Brand/Portfolio related strategies of all segments in the whole MCO considering different local requirements & environments. Furthermore, you will lead the transition of strategy to Customer Engagement at local country level for the MCO as well as contributing to the long-term vision, ambition and objectives of Primary Care as part of the Primary Care BeNeLux leadership team.

This position can be based in either Diegem (BE) or Amsterdam (NL). Frequent travel within the region will be required.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive Primary Care marketing (portfolio) strategy: portfolio segmentation, demand activation, forecasting, assessment of growth opportunities, competitive analysis and portfolio maximization – within both countries, maximizing strategy synergies;
  • Accountable for yearly Brand Plans deliverable of Grow segment products with strong focus on creating value; focus on “where to play”;
  • Pre-empt market or environment changes in order to implement & to adjust the organization that enables marketing strategy & objectives achievement;
  • Work closely with Customer Engagement Head and Commercial Head of respective countries and European & Global functions;
  • Member of the Primary Care leadership team and leads the Primary Care BeNeLux marketing team committee with an agenda reflecting its deliverable;
  • Drive Primary Care Long Range Planning process by setting clear goals to maximize value of Primary Care portfolio;
  • Represent Primary Care in various meetings and bodies in BeNeLux and Europe, and ensure good collaboration with the supporting functions;
  • Set and manage budget (top line forecasting, A&P). Be responsible for resource allocation and arbitrages within given perimeter;
  • Ensure team members have the required skills & competencies to do their roles through providing support, coaching, development & mentoring.

About You

To excel in this role you will need to have:

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master in medical/economics: specialized business education is an advantage;
  • More than 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical business within marketing;
  • Experience as a people manager;
  • Knowledge of cross-country and cross functional collaboration in a matrix organization is a pre;
  • Marketing strategy knowledge, strategic analysis and planning, project management, demonstrates ability to understand financial, forecasting, regulatory, legal and human resource topics;
  • Excellent English language knowledge and skills (written and oral), fluency in Dutch and/or French is a strong plus;
  • Proven leadership skills.
