Are you interested in generating a step change in the performance of CHO cells in biomanufacturing?
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced bioproduction scientist to join our rapidly expanding R&D team based at our Cambridge site. You will be responsible for providing scientific/technical leadership in the development of bioprocesses using our gene-edited cell lines and implementing approaches to help our clients in the production of therapeutic proteins using our mammalian cell lines.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and Horizon customers, you will lead a team of talented scientists to build on the commercial success of Horizon's GS knockout CHO K1 cell line. Horizon is using gene engineering to drive fundamental improvements to the CHO cell host to better support the development and manufacturing of next generation therapeutics. We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in biomanufacturing/bioprocessing in order to underpin the development and release of these new CHO lines, as well as optimising the performance of our existing GS knockout CHO cell platform.
