About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rare Diseases Field Product Manager (FPM) based in Latvia. The FPM for Rare Diseases/Oncology/Hematology will play a central role in setting and reaching our ambitious goals in the market. To succeed in this job, it requires a Team Player with experience in Product and Project responsibilities from former positions in combination with a competitive and results oriented personality. The FPM is also responsible for the planning & execution of sales & marketing activities towards selected Key Opinion Leaders and Specialists within specified areas in Latvia as well as collaboration with patient associations with the objective of achieving or exceeding the financial targets (sales & BOI) for the products at the local level.

Key Responsibilities

P&L Responsibility:

  • Deliver against the agreed commercial and strategic objectives, managing P&L, as well as quality, compliance and risk management;
  • Develop and implement country specific operating plans, ensuring achievement of objectives including growth of the specified area of responsibility;
  • Develop local sales and marketing plan, including budget in collaboration with general manager and MCO Nordics Baltics Head;
  • Ensure that resources are optimized for maximum efficiency in terms of coverage, segmentation and targeting of the right accounts;
  • Identify opportunities to grow the local business and to prepare relevant business cases to get them funded internally;
  • Stay up-dated on national/regional market access processes affecting access to product portfolio – work in close collaboration with local market access team to support market access activities;
  • Contribute to the competitive intelligence by sharing insights and identify opportunities, to help define product strategy and promotional activities;
  • Support MCO/European team when needed with input on business processes and business plans.

Leadership Role:

  • Contributes to strategic marketing planning at MCO level – ensures that policies and tactics are not in conflict with local regulations or policies;
  • Ensure the development of core behaviors with a constant concern to meet legal, regulatory, ethical and social responsibility standards required by local laws and organizational policies, procedures and culture.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build strong relationships with KOLs and key customers to identify customer needs and drive commercial development within specified area;
  • Educate stakeholders such as doctors, nursing staff and pharmacists regarding disease and products and convey messages to make sure that physicians are correctly informed about products and therapies;
  • Help clinicians justify the products towards payers;
  • Work with cross functional internal counterparts to optimize patient care;
  • Document all customer interactions in CRM system;
  • Maintain and build on existing links with patient organizations;
  • Attend symposia and congresses with key customers;
  • Facilitate scientific co-operation with KOLs.
  • Be Responsible for Self-Development
  • Take part in internal and external trainings and meetings actively;
  • Be updated on latest scientific information concerning the products;
  • Define needs in personal development.

About You

  • Education level as nurse/pharmacist/Medical doctor;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with hospital products in a competitive field with documented results;
  • Experience in launching specialty care products;
  • Several years of experience working with KOLs and building partnerships;
  • Medical and scientific affinity;
  • Experience in project management;
  • Experienced user in MS office;
  • Fluent in written and oral Latvian and English;
  • Demonstrates oral and written skills that are clear and constructive;
  • Good networker, relationship builder;
  • Provides evidence of skill to effectively build communication strategy to influence customers in a professional manner;
  • Demonstrates the use of excellent listening skills;
  • Demonstrates the ability to negotiate acceptable outcomes with customers and team members to the benefit of all involved – “win-win”;
  • Outgoing personality that thrives with customer-contact;
  • Service minded.
