About the Medical Advisor Cardiovascular position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Advisor to join our Primary Care Unit in the Sanofi Norway Office. The mission of this role is to ensure that the cardiovascular therapeutic innovations by Sanofi are marketed to relevant patients groups and that the statements are backed up by reliable scientific data.

The Medical Advisor will provide both clinical and scientific insights to the company to ensure that marketing activities would be relevant for the local market to ensure the best possible use of the products for the benefit of the patients and the society.

The person holding this position will identify and interact with local opinion leaders and HCPs to help generate understanding of the therapeutic area portfolio. The successful candidate will lead local advisory boards, scientific projects, other relevant activities with the HCPs and conduct medical trainings adapted to internal as well as external needs.

The position reports to Primary Care Medical Head in Norway.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and maintain collaboration with current and future KOLs within the cardiovascular therapeutic and established product areas;
  • Coordinate local advisory boards, projects and other relevant activities with the HCPs;
  • Conduct medical training to internal and external needs;
  • Check external promotional material for medical and scientific accuracy;
  • Participate in and arrange relevant congresses, symposium and other meetings;
  • Provide support for the Market Access process in medical/scientific matters;
  • Participate in budgeting and strategy planning in the scope of the area;
  • Be updated on the latest scientific information concerning relevant therapeutic area;
  • Support and facilitate desired clinical trials.

About You

  • You are a motivated, self-going, dedicated person and a team-player ready for new challenges within a dynamic environment;
  • You have a strong scientific profile and therapeutic area experience either from the clinic, research and/or from the pharma industry;
  • You feel energized by working in a cross-functional team in an international environment.

Demonstrated and recognized capacity to:

  • Effectively engage with key external stakeholders and build long-term relationships;
  • Use scientific and clinical knowledge to input to launch strategy on evidence needs for stakeholder;
  • Analyse information and emerging trends, including social, policy and access-related information, and incorporate them into medical plans;
  • Develop scientific communication and education initiatives using scientific/medical expertise, customer insights and understanding of launch strategy;
  • Self-dependent and structured working style, yet able to work in a team;
  • Plan, prioritize and implement actions – project management;
  • Communicate, collaborate and influence with excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills, both internally and externally – especially in communication with medical authorities, hospitals, physicians/specialists, KOLS and pharmacists;
  • Train and educate internal and external stakeholders;
  • Search and analyse scientific publications.

Qualifications:

  • Job requires university degree in medicine and a Norwegian licence for practicing as a physician;
  • Clinical experience as a physician;
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus;
  • Demonstrated ability to deeply understand and communicate scientific literature and concepts;
  • Excellent command of English both written and oral as well as fluent in Norwegian.

Other Requirements:

  • This position requires some travel in the region;
  • The main focus between products and therapeutic areas may vary depending on the changes in the environment;
  • The employee is required to follow ethical rules of the company and the local Pharma Association.
