The Senior Clinical Programme Managers are responsible for managing the end to end delivery of GMI research studies.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Project managing the development of first-generation study documentation such as study research plan, study protocol, template ethics submission, life style questionnaire and study case report form;
  • Tracking and coordinating programme progress, managing programme change requests, ensuring seamless delivery and identifying resource gaps where they exist;
  • Ensure at all times internal cross functional team alignment on programme deliverables enabling structured and predictable internal planning;
  • Leading internal resource planning, programme budgeting and timeline management;
  • Supporting clinical operations team to conduct site feasibility and pre-study visit activities;
  • Attend ethics review meetings if required;
  • Work with clinical partnerships manager and clinical operations to prepare study recruitment targets and costings;
  • Coordinate with multiple different teams to execute on study including the research team, legal, IT, business development and compliance;
  • Support clinical operations team in managing recruitment at site helping to take corrective action where appropriate;
  • Keep up-to-date detailed documentation and study records in accordance with relevant regulations and Company policies;
  • Prepare and present metrics reporting programme status including recruitment forecasting and actuals against programme targets. Ensure company CRM is always up to date;
  • Support clinical partnerships manager to ensure successful conclusion to contract negotiations;
  • Attend national and international meetings and conferences as required to update medical/scientific knowledge;
  • Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives and specified Business Development activities;
  • Support and guide the development of new process to ensure the highest levels of quality;
  • Other duties as assigned or reasonably required by the company.

Additional Duties

  • Assist senior management with development of strategic plans and resource planning;
  • May be required to mentor and support junior team members;
  • Lead by example by ensuring the highest levels of quality and teamwork at all times;
  • Lead special projects that may involve the development of new process or initiative that serve to improve the team performance.

Qualifications

  • 15-18 years with Degree;
  • 10-15 years with PhD.

Experience

  • Experience mentoring or working as a senior member of a project team in a commercial research environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to work within and through their efforts enhance the performance of the entire team;
  • Detailed orientated with strong project management skills and track record of applying project management methodologies to ensure high quality outputs;
  • Proven track record of delivery against aggressive timelines;
  • Demonstrated ability to turn complex, multi-stakeholder business requirements in to discrete actions;
  • Experience programme managing either in a clinical research or other equivalent environment;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Candidate will be solution orientated;
  • Understanding of the health environment in Ireland;
  • Understanding clinical research process;
  • Good scientific background with a technical understanding of disease areas;
  • A broad understanding of population genomics and its benefits to clinicians;
  • Ability to negotiate and reach agreement in a timely and effective manner;
  • Business planning, forecasting and analytical capabilities;
  • Ability to coordinate several projects in a timely manner in conjunction with other teams;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organisation objectives.
