The MLM establishes, fosters and maintains strategic relationships with Key Medical Experts (KME) and exchanges accurate and updated medical/scientific information between KMEs, other investigators and the company's Medical Affairs group. The MLM acts as a medical/scientific resource within Biogen, ensuring awareness and understanding of the diseases area and Biogen’s Biosimilars (BBU) products. The MLM contributes to company success through both internal and external medical education and medical/scientific information exchange and support. MLM utilize his/her medical/scientific expertise to gather medical insights and to support research/data generation initiatives. The MLM provides educational scientific/medical support to affiliate functions in relation to Biosimilars (BBU) products and the respective therapeutic areas (TA) in particular Rheumatology/Dermatology and/or Gastroenterology;
The MLM is responsible for the medical-scientific contribution to the regional and local BBU – medical strategy and developing local medical plans; developing medical scientific presentations, one to one discussions with leading Rheumatology/Dermatology and/or Gastroenterology - experts, understanding the current status and identify opportunities for evolving Standards of care in BBU, facilitating implementation of the national therapeutic areas treatment guidelines applicable to BBU areas, developing executing medical education activities in collaboration with medical scientific community, understanding the current national disease registries applicable to BBU TAs, and medical scientific projects;
The MLM should therefore have expertise in and knowledge of therapeutic areas - Rheumatology/Dermatology and/or Gastroenterology- , patient-treatment trends, clinical trials and scientific activities within the BBU area, and continuously update this expertise and knowledge. The MLM should be able to translate highly complex medical scientific content to tactics and have medical operation expertise/skills or experience in managing complex medical projects;
Consistently demonstrates exceptional technical/scientific depth on Biogen products and disease areas as evidenced by internal responsibilities and external reputation and networks. Contributes to part of brand planning process and development of MLM led activities due to his/her extensive knowledge of the TAs and competitors environment; The MLM acts as a role model for Medical Excellence behaviors and is responsible for providing medical/scientific mentoring, demonstrates project leadership skills;
Accomplishment of these goals must comply with the terms and conditions outlined in Biogen`s Code of Business Conduct and local laws and regulations;
Recognition, documentation and reporting of adverse events and technical product complaints to Drug Safety Switzerland or the responsible service center according to local SOPs applicable for BBU.
Min 2-3+ years’ experience as MSL or relevant role in Medical Affairs or CRO;
Scientific experience in the therapeutic area (Immunology experience is preferred);
An understanding of drug development through clinical research;
Understanding of health economics;
Technical knowledge in Rheumatology/Dermatology and/or Gastroenterology;
Proven expertise in working with and within local regulations and code of practice;
Experience of working with IITS;
Fluent in German and English; French and or Italian is a plus.

BSc; Advanced terminal degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP in medical specialty) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
