What are the main roles and responsibilities?

This role is responsible for leading and driving the successful execution of Marketing strategy in the Cluster Iberia & Greece. Being member of the Steering Committee, the incumbent will direct, lead and coach a team of product managers responsible for the marketing and promotion of products. They play a critical role in the planning and development of annual budgets and business plans. The incumbent will research and will keep informed of market conditions to help drive the future marketing initiatives and increased profitability of the brands.

Strategic Management:

  • Strategic Advisor to Management Team on market trends and competitive information in therapeutic markets.
  • Accountable for the revenues and expenses of assigned brands.
  • Develops strategic brand plan and sales forecasts, managing operating plan budget and expenses.
  • Ensures that the brand strategy is translated in an effective annual tactical plan.
  • Maintains up-to-date information of competitor’s products.
  • Elaborate and present business plans.
  • Perform analysis in product preferences, potentials, sales coverage, market size etc. Also to analyze possible Business development candidates as well to evaluate and eventually propose strategic alliances.

Leadership:

  • Leads a multinational team of product managers.
  • Communicates clear goals and objectives throughout the organization to ensure timely and quality results.
  • Leads a cross-functional process including the development of brand positioning, concept development, targeting, segmentation, market research, and other marketing activities to ensure company success.
  • Work closely with the field force, attending sales meetings and working with field sales management to ensure marketing activities and sales needs are fully aligned.
  • Ensures all marketing activities are aligned with compliance, internal SOPs and budget.
  • Takes ownership for key customers of the brand
  • Represent the company at conferences and congresses

Global initiatives and collaboration:

  • Collaborates with Global Marketing on global initiatives and roll-outs.
  • Serve a lead role representing marketing on projects development teams as appropriate.

What are the requirements for this position?

  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position in pharmaceutical sector.
  • Business or Marketing or Sciences Degree. Master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years of previous product/account management experience within the pharmaceutical industry, 5+ years of direct management leading teams, 5+ years of sales analysis, and/or market research experience.
  • Demonstrated success in the area of strategic product management.
  • Superior analytical skills and ability to gain insight from data in driving successful strategic decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Building Effective Teams, Business Acumen, Decision Quality, Drive for Results, Interpersonal Savvy, Strategic Agility.
  • Very high English language level is a must.
