Overview

The main function is to plan and implement effective sales strategies, properly managing their sales (Account Managers, Key Account Managers and Field Sales Specialists), in order to consolidate and strengthen the company position into assigned territory and to achieve the sales targets. It encompasses managing, supporting and evaluating sales team, meeting key customers, negotiating special offers, coordinating local sales and marketing actions to develop trust and business volume, protecting margins and developing customers satisfaction and Bio-Rad’s brand image. Responsible for coordination of the FSS activity (sales calls, demos, installations, customer trainings):

  • Develops and executes a territory business plan to sell and promote the Bio-Rad product line to meet territory sales goals for assigned region; manages and develops team’s activities; responsible for sales reps and FSS selection, coaching, evaluation, sets annual targets and review monthly, quarterly and yearly achievements. Organizes and provides support, training, marketing activities. Manages the corresponding FSS team accordingly (sales calls, demos, installations, customer trainings);
  • Develops and demonstrates a thorough understanding of selling skills, sales forecasting, and budget tracking; monitors and evaluates competitive services, pricing and other sales and marketing activities. Maintains funnel and opportunity management in SFDC, deliver good quality forecasts and market reports, timely;
  • Elaborate sales strategies on the basis of customer needs analysis;
    • identify strategic business opportunities and plan related promotional activities;
    • plan and realize suitable sales activities, discussing with sales force and devolving related tasks;
    • assess customers cooperation and sponsorship proposals, discussing with CDG Regional Sales Manager;
    • ensure full and effective coverage of assigned areas by sales network, identifying necessary changes and improvements.
  • Recognizes and demonstrates Bio-Rad's complete commitment to customer satisfaction by providing prompt resolutions of customer problems or concerns; understands and upholds the Bio-Rad quality policy: Operate fully according to Bio-Rad’s Legal and Compliance requirements;
  • Supervise sales bargaining, analyzing specific customer needs and providing suitable solutions:
    • directly take part to major and sensitive negotiations, allowing necessary cooperation with all company supporting Functions.
  • Coordination of FSS activities within territory in junction with AM and KAM activities planning:
    • guarantees adequate training and motivation to team, evaluating performances and identifying potential improvements; provide adequate incentives, directly managing sales commissions;
    • ensure constant flow of information to team, connecting them to company supporting Functions.
  • Strong quantitative skills, sales and negotiation acumen;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to produce results while working with multiple projects under tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively with diverse professionals in a team environment;
  • Management skills oriented to motivating and conducting a sales team;
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office;
  • Strong organizational skills for her/himself and for the team;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a life science or related field;
  • 5+ years of sales experience selling products in the medical instruments marketplace or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • 3 years managing experience in responsibility for team/people.
