The Patient Partnering in Clinical Development (PPCD) is an international event with the aim of exploring patient engagement in Clinical Research. Patient empowerment in any phase of Clinical Research and on regulatory agency’s decisions are discussed at PPCD events.

In the last years, patients have been included as valued partners in clinical trials serving on governance committees and project teams. The Patient Partnering in Clinical Development (PPCD) is a yearly event addressed to any figure involved in any aspect of clinical research with a deep interest in patient engagement and patient empowerment in all phases of Clinical Research, belonging to:

  • Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device companies;

  • Universities/Hospitals;
  • Academic Research;

  • Regulatory authorities;
  • Health outcome specialists;

Patient engagement in clinical trials and increasing patient empowerment are the main topics of PPCD. They are discussed by leading experts that are carefully selected by the scientific board. The Scientific Board selects the topics to be covered, the speakers and the moderators.
