We are looking for a Sales Manager Generics – Business Development (f/m/d) 100% for our Generics API portfolio who will be responsible for the ongoing support of existing and new international customers in their endeavor to develop accessible medicine. This is an excellent opportunity to gain or expand experience in sales and customer project management in the pharmaceutical industry, learn important aspects of generic drugs development, acquire or use negotiation skills and build relationships in the industry.

In your work at Bachem you will be supported by experienced specialists from sales and various technical departments (production, analytics, quality, regulatory, project management). Modern ERP and CRM systems will be at your disposal.

Your tasks:

  • After an initial training phase you will grow Bachem’s generics business by managing assigned existing and new customer projects;
  • Develop in-depth product and industry knowledge;
  • Prepare commercial proposals for complex projects;
  • Be major point of contact for assigned customers in relation to product quality, regulatory filing, and GMP production and analysis questions;
  • You will be coordinating internal activities, as subject matter expert, projects and be the major communication channel towards customers;
  • Accompany the entire sales cycle from quotation to delivery;
  • Conduct price and contract negotiations;
  • Enter and update CRM system records;
  • Organize and conduct visits to existing and prospect customers;
  • Active participation in internal financial forecasting, demand planning, product design and market strategy discussions;
  • Represent Bachem at international exhibitions and conferences.

Your profile:

  • University degree in chemistry or life sciences;
  • Previous BD/Sales experience in Life Science or pharmaceutical service industry is an asset;
  • Pronounced communication and presentation skills;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset;
  • Goal-oriented and valuing partnership;
  • Positive and proactive attitude;
  • Excellent command of English (German is advantageous but not required);
  • Good knowledge of MS Office;
  • Ability to travel (up to 20%).
