Senior Medical Advisor - Medical Affairs Psychiatry
Medical Affairs Psychiatry is responsible for the international medical activities related to products and development projects within psychiatry. Our products include Brintellix/Trintellix (vortioxetine), Rexulti (brexpiprazole), Abilify Maintena (aripiprazole once monthly), Cipralex/Lexapro (escitalopram), Sycrest/Saphris (asenapine), Selincro (nalmefene) and more. Our development projects include AF35700 for treatment-resistant schizophrenia and other projects focusing on depression or schizophrenia.
Your job and key responsibilities
You will be part of the team that develops AF35700 for treatment-resistant schizophrenia. Some of the key international medical activities given above will be led by you, and in other of these activities, you will be included as a team member.
Initially, you will focus on establishing the medical environment knowledge base and the evidence generation strategies, including conducting the related advisory meetings with medical experts in the AF35700 project. You will be working closely with colleagues in USA, Japan and China, and global medical experts in the field. You are expected to travel to meetings and congresses (about 20 days per year).
You will gradually be involved in more products and development projects in the department, and you are expected to provide medical expertise in other types of projects as you gain knowledge of Lundbeck systems and processes. As a medical expert in Medical Affairs Psychiatry, you will also contribute to handling medical information requests, and review selected product-related communications from headquarter in order to ensure compliance to industry codes and regulations.
Our preferred candidate has the following qualifications:
- An advanced academic degree in natural sciences (MD or PhD);
- Experience from psychiatry (research or clinical practice) or from pharmaceutical medical affairs/drug development;
- Enjoys analysing and discussing concepts for product and campaign strategy;
- Motivated by applying and further developing expertise to achieve work objectives;
- Communicates effectively, being comfortable presenting to small and large audiences.
